AkustakaNot having checkpoints in a game where you can get instantly killed by random 100% accuracy bots is not fun, having to replay the same intro scene is not enjoyable. Died in the server room after 40 minutes of gameplay on our THIRD playthrough (first time getting to server room) and yippie, time to LITERALLY SPEEDRUN BUNNYHOP the whole first section of the game AGAIN... You can't even say that having checkpoints would ruin the 'hardcore' aspect of the game because people being able to drop in and drop out at will already does that. The way it is set up now promotes someone to camp WAY back and be a mobile spawn point for people just trying to enjoy their first playthrough of the campaign, making it completely unfun for the person 'taking one for the team' by being the spawn point.

jamesI feel like a priority for this game should be the make the game better to play for the main portion of the game the "campaign" if you must.
My friends and I played this game before the 2 chapter system was implemented and it as a blast. However, we spent countless hours playing and ended up having to get off for the night and we lose literally all progress made for hours. Not only does this suck, but it makes it very boring to play the second time around. Having to go back and spend those countless hours on the game again is just not fun, not to mention were playing the same campaign again. A 2 chapter system is not sufficient. Im not saying put save points everywhere, but allows us to save chapters or checkpoints so we can start close to where we ended the last time we played. Myself and others and friends have no desire to play until theres a chapter system so that we can actually progress through the game and have fun. -

kankockJust want to bump and add my two cents. We really need checkpoints for casual players, and especially before the chapter 3 area with the rising water. Getting there only to die by drowning after about an hour of playtime kind of killed it for us - didn't want to replay that whole mission just to get back there, so a checkpoint right there would have been great.

EduSincerely I think is an accessibility issue to not have the option of checkpoints when you choose a mission that not disclaim how much time it takes, neither have a shorter length than 2-3 hours long.
A "hardcore mode" could me offered to people that likes to start over multiple times... but more casual folks, that have a busy boring life, may not have a time slot in their schedule to be this playing for this long each session.
It seems advantageous for both hardcore and casuals to a more flexible save system INSIDE the chapter. -

NorryOr a save System would be great,
the checkpoint system that is, is decent but its a anoying that i only have 4 lifes when playing solo, i drop my gun on death, ok. BUT when i want to bring a shootgun trough 2 checkpoints with some deaths, i just have ether have to play though all that again, or just deal with it and take a gun i dont want.
give hard core player a hard core mode but please dont punish me when i want to enjoy this game more casual
